A sun-faded rust-terracotta field holds a stepped slate-blue Anatolian medallion with rust and ivory hooked motifs, framed by a soft sage and jade-green border of geometric cartouches — this Turkish-style hand-knotted Oushak rug is 100% pure New Zealand wool, every knot tied by hand by master weavers in Bhadohi-Mirzapur, India.
Why This Rug Works in Your Room
- Vintage village-rug look: softly faded rust, denim blue and sage give the collected, lived-in character of an old Anatolian rug — without the antique price or the wear.
- Bold geometric medallion: a stepped center medallion with hooked tribal motifs draws the eye to the middle of a seating area and looks right under a coffee table.
- An easy, earthy palette: terracotta and blue are natural complements, and the green border ties in with plants, wood and linen.
Perfect For Every Room
Living room: an 8x10 or 9x12 anchors a sofa and two chairs. Bedroom: a 6x9 under a queen bed, an 8x10 under a king. Dining room: a 9x12 or 10x14 lets chairs slide out without catching the edge. Entryway: a 3x5 or 4x6. Hallway and kitchen: a 2.5x10 or 3x15 runner. Round and square sizes (4x4 to 8x8 ft) suit breakfast nooks and reading corners.
Handmade Craftsmanship
Every rug is made to order in 10 stages — including design graphing, wool washing and dyeing, knotting on the loom, clipping, washing, stretching and finishing. Every single knot is tied by hand at 90–100 KPSI for a dense, durable pile. We use only 100% pure New Zealand wool, prized for its natural lustre and softness. The fringe is the rug's own warp threads, and there is no glued backing, so the rug breathes and lies flat. Natural abrash — slight shade variation across the field — is the signature of a genuine hand-knotted rug.
