A powder-blue field alive with hand-drawn botanicals in sage green, cobalt, and peach — this Oushak brings effortless coastal calm and rich character to any living room or bedroom.

Why This Rug Works in Your Room

  • All-over botanical floral pattern — lively yet beautifully balanced, with stylised flowers, curving stems, and geometric accents across a serene sky-blue field that makes any space feel brighter and more open.
  • Ivory cream border with sage-green inner frame — the layered border defines the rug's footprint cleanly, anchoring your furniture without competing with the room's existing palette.
  • Natural wool abrash throughout — subtle tonal shifts across the blue field give this rug the depth and authentic character that machine-made pieces can never replicate.

Perfect For Every Room

In living rooms, an 8x10 or 9x12 ft seats the full sofa group with all front legs on the rug. In bedrooms, a 5x8 or 6x9 ft creates a soft, welcoming landing on both sides of the bed. In dining rooms, a 10x14 ft gives chairs room to pull back freely. For entryways, a 2x3 or 3x5 ft makes a vivid first impression. Available in sizes from 2x3 to 12x18 ft, including rounds, squares, and runners.

Handmade Craftsmanship

Woven by master artisans in the Bhadohi-Mirzapur weaving belt of India, this rug undergoes 10 stages of hand-craftsmanship over approximately 45 days. Constructed from 100% hand-spun wool with a knot density of 90–100 KPSI. There is no backing — you can see each individual knot on the reverse — and the fringe is a natural extension of the warp threads, never glued or sewn on. Abrash is inherent to the hand-dyeing process and is a hallmark of authentic handmade rugs.

Care

Rotate every 12–18 months for even wear. Vacuum without a beater bar on low suction. Blot liquid spills immediately — never rub. Professional hand-wash recommended every 3–5 years. A rug pad is advised on hard floors for comfort and slip prevention.

FAQs

What size Oushak rug do I need for my living room?
For most living rooms, an 8x10 ft rug works well with a standard sofa set, allowing all four legs of your furniture to sit on the rug. For larger or open-plan spaces, a 9x12 ft creates a more expansive, cohesive look. Always measure your seating footprint before ordering.

What size Oushak rug works best in a bedroom?
A 5x8 ft works well in rooms up to 12x12 ft, placed under the lower two-thirds of a queen bed. A 6x9 ft is ideal for queen or king beds in medium-sized bedrooms, providing a soft landing on both sides. For master bedrooms, an 8x10 ft running the full width creates a luxurious feel.

Is this rug truly hand-knotted?
Yes — every knot is tied individually by hand by skilled weavers in Bhadohi, India. The rug has no backing (you can see the knot structure on the reverse), and the fringe is a natural extension of the warp threads, distinguishing it from machine-made or hand-tufted rugs.
