A deep olive-green field framed by a wide, sun-warmed rust border — this Turkish Oushak rug is hand-knotted in 100% pure New Zealand wool, with every single knot tied by hand, for a calm, earthy look that grounds any room.

Why This Rug Works in Your Room

  • Earthy two-tone palette: Rich olive green and brick-rust pair beautifully with wood floors, leather sofas, terracotta pots and natural linen.
  • Quiet tribal detail: Coral diamond medallions and tiny tree-of-life sprigs trace a dotted inner frame, adding pattern without visual clutter.
  • Soft abrash depth: Natural tonal variation across the green field gives a vintage, lived-in character that hides everyday wear.

Perfect For Every Room

Living rooms: 8x10 or 9x12 anchors a full seating group. Bedrooms: 5x8 or 6x9 sits beautifully under the lower two-thirds of a queen or king bed. Dining rooms: 10x14 lets chairs slide out while staying on the rug. Entryways: 2x3 or 3x5 makes a warm first impression. Need a hallway or kitchen piece? Choose a 2.5x10, 3x9 or 3x15 runner size.

Handmade Craftsmanship

Each rug is 100% handmade and hand-knotted by master weavers in the Bhadohi-Mirzapur rug belt of India. Every single knot is tied by hand — around 45 days of work passing through 10 stages, from wool sorting and hand-spinning to dyeing, knotting, washing, clipping and finishing. We use only 100% pure New Zealand wool, prized for its long staple, natural lanolin and lasting softness. At 90-100 KPSI (knots per square inch), the weave is dense and durable. There is no glued backing — the knots are the structure — and the fringe is integrated, made from the rug's own foundation warps. Gentle abrash (natural colour variation from hand-dyed wool) is a hallmark of genuine hand-knotted work.

Lay it under a cognac leather sofa and a reclaimed-wood coffee table for a warm, collected living room, or beside a white-linen bed with brass lamps for a grounded boho bedroom. The olive and rust tones also sit naturally in studies and reading nooks with dark wood shelving.

Care

Vacuum regularly without the beater bar. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — never rub. Rotate every 6 months for even wear. Professional rug cleaning is recommended every 1-2 years. Use a rug pad to protect floors and extend the rug's life.

FAQs

What size should I get for my living room?
For a sofa and two chairs, an 8x10 (for rooms around 12x14 ft) or a 9x12 (for rooms 14x16 ft and larger) lets front legs rest on the rug. For a bedroom, a 5x8 or 6x9 works under a queen bed.

Is this rug really 100% wool and hand-knotted?
Yes. It is made from 100% pure New Zealand wool and is fully hand-knotted — every single knot is tied by hand by skilled artisans on a traditional loom.

How long does a 9x12 or 10x14 take to arrive?
Ready sizes ship quickly with free worldwide shipping; custom sizes are hand-knotted to order and typically take several weeks. Contact us for an exact timeline.
