The softest thing you can put on a floor and still call it durable. A blush-rose ground carries Anatolian palmettes and rosettes in plum, apricot, taupe and cream, framed by a wide dusty-pink border. Hand-knotted in wool, one knot at a time — the colour is dyed into the fibre, not printed onto a surface.
Why This Palette Works
Blush is doing what grey used to do: it disappears politely under everything. But unlike grey it adds warmth to a room instead of draining it. The plum and apricot motifs keep the rug from reading sweet or juvenile — there is enough depth in the pattern for it to sit comfortably in a formal living room, a primary bedroom, or a dressing room.
- Blush, mauve and plum — pairs with cream, oatmeal, camel, walnut, aged brass and black without competing
- Low-contrast Oushak pattern — visual softness at a distance, real detail up close
- Wool, not viscose — the soft look with none of the shedding, matting or water-marking that ruins viscose rugs
How It Is Made
Knotted by hand on traditional looms by master weavers in the Bhadohi–Mirzapur weaving belt of northern India. Around 45 days of work per rug across ten stages — carding, spinning, dyeing, knotting, clipping, washing and hand-finishing.
- 100% New Zealand wool pile on a cotton foundation
- Approx. 100 knots per square inch (KPSI)
- No latex or cloth backing — proof of true hand-knotted construction
- Integrated fringe, part of the warp, never sewn on
- Subtle abrash (natural tonal variation) is a mark of hand-dyeing, not a flaw

Where to Put It
Living room: 8x10 puts the front legs of the sofa on the rug; 9x12 or 10x14 gets every leg on. Bedroom: 8x10 under a queen, 9x12 under a king — this is where a blush rug earns its keep. Dressing room or study: a 5x8 or 6x9 turns a hard-floored room soft immediately. Hallway: matching runners are woven in the same design.
Custom Sizes & Trade Orders
Every size, shape and colourway in this design is made to order — oversized, round, square and runner formats included. Interior designers and trade clients can request pricing, dimensions and strike-off samples directly.
Care
Vacuum weekly without a beater bar, rotate every 6–12 months, blot spills immediately rather than rubbing, and use a rug pad. Professional wash every 3–5 years.
FAQs
Is a pale rug practical?
More than people expect. Wool has a natural lanolin coating that resists liquid long enough to blot, and the multi-tone blush ground disguises marks far better than a solid pale rug would.
How pink is it in person?
Soft and dusty rather than bright — closer to clay and old rose than to candy. Screen calibration varies, so ask us for a natural-light photo if you are matching to fabric.
Will it shed?
Very little. Hand-knotted wool sheds far less than tufted rugs because the pile is knotted, not glued.
Is it safe for kids and pets?
Yes — 100% natural wool, no latex backing, no synthetic blend.
Do you ship to the USA?
Yes. Free tracked delivery to all 50 states, shipped from our workshop in India.
