A breathtaking harmony of warm greige and dusty blue — this hand-knotted Oushak rug brings effortless Anatolian elegance to any living space.

Why This Rug Works in Your Room

  • Palette Pairing: The warm greige field pairs naturally with wood tones, linen upholstery, and white or charcoal walls — it bridges warm and cool tones beautifully. Dusty blue accents tie in with navy, slate, or coastal decor elements without overpowering the room.
  • Pattern Style: Oversized Anatolian botanical florals with flowing vine work create a relaxed, open feel. The large-scale motifs breathe across the field — ideal for minimalist interiors and layered, collected looks alike.
  • Wool Quality: Knotted from 100% hand-spun wool with a lustrous pile that softens naturally underfoot, this rug develops a gentle antique character over time, deepening in richness rather than fading.

Handmade Craftsmanship

Woven by master artisans in the Bhadohi-Mirzapur weaving belt of India — one of the oldest hand-knotting traditions in the world — each rug takes approximately 45 days to complete across 10 stages of production: hand-spinning, natural dyeing, warping, knotting, cutting, washing, stretching, fringe finishing, quality inspection, and final pressing. The construction uses 100% hand-spun wool on a cotton warp, knotted at 90–100 KPSI (knots per square inch) for a dense, durable pile. There is no backing — the rug is completely reversible and breathes naturally. Fringe is integrated into the structure, not glued or sewn on. Subtle abrash (tonal variation) is a natural characteristic of hand-spun yarn and a mark of authentic handmade production.

Where to Put It

This greige-and-blue Oushak is equally at home anchoring a sofa and coffee table in the living room, laid beneath a farmhouse or Scandinavian dining table, or placed in a bedroom as a luxurious underfoot layer. Its neutral field will not clash with existing furniture; the dusty blue accents tie seamlessly with blue, grey, teal, or navy decor elements.

Care

Vacuum regularly without the beater bar. Rotate every 6–12 months for even wear. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — never rub. For deep cleaning, professional rug washing is recommended every 2–3 years. Store rolled (never folded) in a breathable cotton bag in a dry environment.

FAQs

Q: Is this rug suitable for high-traffic areas?
A: Yes — hand-knotted wool rugs are among the most durable floor coverings available. The dense knot count and natural lanolin in wool make them highly resilient. They improve in character with use.

Q: Will the colours fade over time?
A: The wool is dyed with colourfast dyes. Normal use will not cause fading. Some natural colour evolution (deepening of tone) may occur over years, which is characteristic of authentic hand-spun wool.

Q: How long until my rug ships?
A: In-stock sizes ship within 3–5 business days. Custom sizes are made to order with a 45–60 day production lead time. Free worldwide shipping is included on all orders.
