This pink Oushak rug is hand knotted in pure wool on a soft blush field — the exact plaster-pink tone interior designers have pushed to the front of 2026 palettes. Large-scale Anatolian florals bloom across the ground in indigo, sage, saffron and burnt orange, framed by an ivory border and a saffron ribbon guard band. It is a warm rug, not a sweet one: the rose reads grown-up and sun-faded, the way a genuinely old Oushak mellows.

Laid in a living room, it does the thing neutral rugs can't — it warms the light. Against walnut floors, cream walls, brass and dark wood, the blush ground softens the whole room while the multicolor motifs give you a ready-made palette to pull accent colors from. It is the piece that makes a room look collected rather than ordered.

Woven by hand in Bhadohi

Every RUGYFY rug comes from the Bhadohi–Mirzapur weaving belt, where families have tied knots on wooden looms for generations. This piece passed through ten stages — wool sorting, carding, spinning, dyeing, loom setup, knotting, clipping, washing, stretching and final finishing — and took a team of weavers several months at the loom. Because the wool is dyed in small batches, you will find gentle abrash: soft horizontal shifts in the pink ground where one dye lot meets the next. That is the fingerprint of a hand-made rug, not a flaw.

We buy directly from the weavers. No trading house, no middleman markup, no factory floor.

Styling it through the season

Fall refresh: the blush ground reads warmer as daylight drops. Layer with caramel leather, oxblood cushions and dried foraged branches — the saturated autumn tones now dominating US interiors sit beautifully against soft pink.

Thanksgiving and holiday hosting: in a dining room, size up so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out (9x12 for a six-to-eight seat table). Wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back under chair legs, which is exactly why it has survived as a dining-room floor covering for centuries.

Bedroom: under a queen bed an 8x10 leaves soft wool on both sides at waking. Pair with sage, smoky blue or undyed linen.

Care

  • Vacuum weekly without a beater bar; run with the pile, not against it
  • Blot spills immediately with a dry white cloth — never rub, never soak
  • Rotate 180° every six months for even wear and even sun exposure
  • Professional hand wash every 3–5 years; a quality rug pad extends life significantly

Questions buyers ask

Is this a real hand-knotted rug? Yes. Turn it over — the pattern is visible on the reverse, knot for knot, with no backing material. Machine-made and tufted rugs cannot show this.

Will the pink look too feminine? This is a dusty, earth-leaning blush rather than a bright pink. Anchored with black, walnut or navy, it reads as warm neutral.

Is wool safe with pets and children? Wool is a natural, biodegradable, naturally flame-resistant fiber with no synthetic blend, and our dyes are tested colorfast.

Can I get this in another size? Yes — any size, including oversized and runners. Send us your dimensions.
