A hand-knotted Oushak in the softest blue you'll find in a wool rug. An ivory field carries large-scale Anatolian florals in cornflower blue, deep navy and olive green — framed by a wide sky-blue border and a navy guard band worked in the traditional "X" motif. It reads calm and coastal from across the room, and rewards you with detail up close.

Woven knot by knot on a traditional loom in the Bhadohi weaving belt of India, this rug takes our artisans roughly 45 days to complete. No machine touches it.

Blue that isn't cold. The green undertones in the border keep this from reading grey — it pairs with warm oak floors, cane furniture and cream linen without fighting them.

Care

Vacuum weekly without a beater bar. Rotate 180° every six months for even wear. Blot spills immediately with a clean white cloth — never rub. Professional wool cleaning every 3–5 years. Use a felt-and-rubber rug pad underneath: it extends the life of the rug and stops slipping.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a real hand-knotted rug or hand-tufted?

Fully hand-knotted. You can verify it yourself: turn the rug over. A hand-knotted rug shows the pattern clearly on the back and has no fabric or latex backing. A hand-tufted rug hides a glued cloth backing. Ours has none.

Will the blue in my room look like the photos?

Very close, but wool takes light differently than a screen. The field is a warm ivory and the border is a mid cornflower blue with green undertones. If exact colour matching matters, message us — we'll send additional daylight photos and video before you buy.

Is wool safe with pets and kids?

Wool is naturally stain-resistant, flame-resistant and biodegradable, which is why it's the traditional choice for family rooms. The lanolin in the fibre repels liquid long enough to blot most spills before they set.
